Customer Care Tip: Cold and Frozen Products


We’ve been receiving questions lately regarding the efficacy of products which may have been stored or shipped at extremely low temperatures due to the winter storms currently affecting vast regions of North America. This being the case, we want to assure you:

Products which have been exposed to extremely low temperatures, even to the point of freezing, remain efficacious and completely safe to consume after thawing!

As long as all packaging seals (bottle caps, lids, etc.) remain intact, there is no cause for concern. This has been verified by our QA/QC division.

Please note that the severe cold can affect the products’ appearance, feel, smell, and in some cases even taste, but none of these organoleptic properties affect the products’ efficacy or safety.

In short: the weather outside may be frightful, but you’re in good hands with Univera!
